While I’m on vacation this week, I’ve been catching up on summer reading and visiting my favorite local spots. I had the best chai tea ever at Taste, a coffee shop a town over from mine, while finishing up The Tao of Martha by Jen Lancaster. It was a hilarious read, especially for those of us who idolize Martha. I’ve limited my time spent on my laptop significantly this week but I just had to share my favorite stories for this week!
1.) Show of hands, please. Who keeps a small shoe closet under her office desk? Guilty as charged!
2.) While we’re all living in our white pants before Labor Day rolls out, don’t forget about the grill! Hit up your local farmer’s market and make this incredibly easy yet delicious summer ratatouille (maybe while watching the Disney movie named for the dish?).
3.) I’m not sure about you but the heat & humidity of summer haven’t gotten the memo that summer is almost over. Yesterday was a scorcher! Cool off with a refreshing sangria, which will pair perfectly with your ratatouille and grilled veggies.
4.) A favorite blogger of mine, Colette, was featured on The Everygirl recently for her gorgeous Lincoln Park apartment. Colette proves through her place and her blog that beautiful home decor doesn’t have to blow your budget.
