I purchased this $40 jewelry cleaner for my mom years ago for her rings. Loved it so much, I bought it for myself when James and I got engaged!
A year ago this week, James pulled the biggest surprise and we got engaged! My engagement ring is gorgeous and brings me so much joy when I glimpse it throughout the day because it reminds me of James, the wonderful day he surprised me with, and our future together.
I especially love how sparkly my ring is and I knew I wanted to keep it as sparkly as possible. A few years ago, I purchased this $40 jewelry cleaner for my mom as a Mother’s Day gift. I’d use it periodically for my gold jewelry whenever I was in Arizona visiting my family. After getting engaged, I bought the cleaner for myself because I knew it would get the job done.
Typically, I use this cleaner about once every two weeks or before I head to a event. You can definitely use it more often than that if you’d like. It’s so easy and takes minutes to make your jewelry sparkle! It’s gentle yet powerful so I never worry about my jewelry, there’s a basket inside to keep your valuables secure. You can also use this cleaner on your glasses. The cleaner’s instructions say you can use tap water to clean but it won’t remove tarnish, the manufacturer also says you can add a drop of dish soap to the water. I prefer to use this cleaning solution concentrate (also available on Amazon for $10) to really make my ring shine.
How I Clean My Ring
I place my ring in the basket, fill the tank with water (approximately a tall glass’ worth of water, enough to cover the items completely). Then add a capful of the cleaning solution concentrate.
Press “Set” to the setting you’d like. I typically use 180 (meaning 180 seconds) for my ring. Then press “On” and you will hear a whirring noise and the front panel will start the countdown.
Once the timer is done, the machine will turn off automatically. You can turn the machine off at any time by pressing “Off.”
I will then place my ring on a paper towel and let it sit to dry completely for a few minutes.
When I’m done cleaning my jewelry, I unplug the machine and tilt the machine on its side over the sink to completely empty the water. Make sure the water avoids touching the front panel.
