My love for work dresses is pretty heavily documented on DC Girl but when I tell you this Talbots ombre floral dress is my #1 favorite work dress in my closet, believe me. It might also be the prettiest dress I own. Period. That ombre floral pattern is just too perfect for words. But I’ll do my best. Let’s start with a little anecdote.

I wore this dress for the first time a couple of weeks ago on a Friday. My friends and I had plans to meet up after work at a bar so I decided it would be the perfect day to break out this dress. Friends + cocktails + new dress = Perfect combination, right?

I ended up getting out of work late and practically ran to the bar where I was greeted by friends and a whiskey ginger all ready for me. They’re the best!! I took off my trench and almost immediately received compliments from them on the dress. My girlfriends and I are generous with each other when it comes to compliments (Particularly after a few drinks), even the guys chimed in on this one. And you know when a guy actually notices style, it’s a big deal.

My Talbots ombre floral dress has been in a weekly rotation of work outfits and each time I wear it, I feel like a million bucks. Maybe Talbots should change the dress’s name to “The Magical Dress” because between the feminine floral print that reminds me of cherry blossoms and the flattering sheath cut, this dress has cast a spell on me.
