Today is my last first day of school and why yes, this is my obligatory last first day post. I graduate in less than four months and “The Real World” is looming large. As scary as this may seem, I’m excited for a new chapter in my life to start. Beginning with this semester. I only needed to take four credits to graduate so needless to say, I’m in love with my schedule. For the first time since freshman year, I don’t have night classes and I actually have a normal schedule.
Having a normal schedule?! That’s crazy, you say! But yes, it’s true. So here’s what I’m looking forward being able to do:
Read…FOR FUN!!!
Through high school, I always read for at least 30 minutes before I fell asleep. But then, college struck and I had to swap Jane Austen for a textbook and noisy roommates/neighbors. However, I’m happy to say that I’m getting back into the swing of reading books for fun. So bring on the recommendations, I’d love to hear from you!
Actually Having Time to Breathe
For the last couple of years, I’ve always been used to juggling a full course load, an internship, a part time job and extracurriculars. Yikes! Now, I get to stop & smell the roses. I am really excited about this. Plus, I can actually get more than 5 hours of sleep each night!
Additionally…
I absolutely love both of my classes this semester and my internship!
As crazy as it is to think that this is my last semester, I’m ready to hit the ground running. Bring it on, “Real World!”
we are in the same boat! Second semester seniors, woo hoo! I too have time to read for fun now since I’m only taking 12 hours! I’m not sure what kind of books you like but I HIGHLY suggest Jodi Picoult books. She is a fab author! Or One Fifth Avenue, How to be a Hepburn in a Hilton world, Girls in White Dresses, and Room (I can’t remember the author!)
