Whew, last night I had a delicious dinner with Cathy of Poor Little It Girl Shake Shack in Dupont Circle. They recently changed their French fries from crinkle to shoestring and believe me, I’m now a SS fry convert! I’ll be looking for more excuses to get to Dupont for sure : )
On the way home, the heavens opened and I was caught in a torrential downpour. But armed with my trusty wellies + umbrellas, it was more like smooth sailing than a monsoon.
Kate Spade umbrella // LL Bean tote // Lilly Pulitzer Murfee // LL Bean Rubber Mocs
My bubble umbrella’s whimsical “Rain check?” amuses me to no end. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a good (or terrible pun). It keeps me dry and adds a laugh to a grey-skied day. Win-win.
Since high school, L.L. Bean totes are my go-to bag. It will survive any weather condition (include upstate New York blizzards) and carry everything you could possibly need. Bonus: the totes are monogram-friendly.
It’s incredible how fast the temperature drops when the rain starts comin’ down. Right now with the spring weather, it gets chilly but not chilly enough for a sweater. The lightweight Murfee scarf from Lilly is the perfect solution to the between-seasons-weather.
While I love my Hunter wellies, LL Bean’s rubber mocs are a great alternative for those of us who get tired of carrying your heavy wellies all day long.
