Happy Monday!! Waking up yesterday morning to the sound of rain just made me the happiest. If you ran in the Marine Corps Marathon, hats off to you for participating + finishing!! I can’t run to save my life on a good day, let alone in a downpour, so you guys are the real MVPs. I ran 0 miles + when I woke up the pitter patter of rain, I rolled over + burrowed under my blankets.

Rainy days are just exceptionally cozy, it’s good “sleeping weather” as my dad likes to say. I was excited to curl up with a good book (I just started The Great Alone) + lounge in bed for a little bit longer. I had the 5 more minutes talk with myself about 4 times.
Another reason I was excited for the rainy forecast was the chance to break out my yellow rain coat. This rain coat, which I got last year, is very well-made + durable. I really like its old school vibes + having a hood is key for not letting the rain dampen your hairdo. Though I always have my umbrella, too! Gotta be prepared for unexpected downpours in DC. Learned that lesson the hard way too many times! 😂
Also love that it comes with two deep pockets with snaps to keep my iPhone safe + dry. It runs TTS, I’m wearing a medium + can easily zip up when worn with my thick fisherman sweater. If you plan to do more layering, I’d suggest sizing up.
