My week was nonstop and left me with very little time to read my current book, The 19th Wife. Today, I’m spending the day outside by a pool soaking up the sun and hopefully making a dent in my book. Thinking about beach reads, my favorite beach read two summers ago was The Help. Hands down, no contest.
I read The Help at least four times that summer, I couldn’t get enough of it. History, romance, this book was everything I wanted in a breezy summer read.
Although I’ll be honest, reading outside makes me immediately sleepy and I rarely can get through a chapter without a few zzz’s. Then I wake up after 10 minutes and the whole process starts again. You can follow my poolside adventures via my Instagram.
