I should preface this post by stating murder mystery books are really not my thing. I enjoy occasionally watching Law & Order until I watch it so much I creep myself out and then I cannot watch it for months.
When I began to hear people gushing about Gone Girl, I requested it from the DC Library and was #168 on the list!! Gone Girl was well worth the wait.
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn tells the story of a marriage gone terribly, terribly off track. Nick and Amy have fallen on hard times and were forced to move back to Nick’s childhood hometown in Missouri, much to New York born-and-raised Amy’s chagrin.
Then, Nick gets a call on the morning of their 5 year wedding anniversary that his front door is wide open and discovers Amy is gone…
When I say I could not put this book down, this would be a serious understatement. Gone Girl is borderline addicting and with its twists and turns, you will want to keep reading and reading to discover the answer: Where is Amy?
I would highly recommend this book to my readers, even those who normally do not reach for a suspense thriller off the bookshelf.
