A few weeks ago, I spent the long weekend DIYing to my little heart’s content with my mom. Which meant a trip to Lowe’s to pick up paint supplies to revamp my wicker side table and some frames. A new coat of paint does wonders to brighten up an old piece of furniture and give a room a total breath of fresh air. And it’s surprisingly therapeutic!
And no, I haven’t been inhaling too many paint fumes. It really is calming!
The other thing surprisingly therapeutic were the prices for Pantone x Valspar paint samples, $3!!! The Pantone sample size is more than enough to paint small-medium pieces, like several picture frames, book ends + statement pieces to give the room splashes of color. I stocked up on cheerful green hues for a DIY project in the works that I can’t wait to share and I really couldn’t say no to Radiant Orchid.
Life’s tough, guys.
Let me tell you, the Pantone Spring 2015 Color Report BRINGS. IT. Lucite Green + Strawberry Ice?! Two words: Color Crushes. I know 2015 is Marsala’s moment in the sun but the heart wants what the heart wants.
And the heart wants to re-paint everything in my apartment in these colors.
What are your favorite Pantone colors?

I totally agree with you about the therapeutic aspects of crafting! I find painting to be really relaxing when I need to de-stress. All of those colors are gorgeous, I can’t even pick a favorite!
Once I have everything that could possibly get paint on it covered, THEN it’s relaxing! ; )
So many beautiful colors but I do love strawberry ice…
