Tis the season! Sharing my Trader Joe’s fall haul, including reviews of some new items.
If Trader Joe’s had a Super Bowl, it would be right now when their fall items hit the shelves. TJ’s really just brings their A-game during the fall and holiday seasons. They’re doing a roll-out this year, introducing new fall items and re-introducing fan fall favorites all month long. Part of me wanted them to release their fall goodies all-at-once but it’ll be fun to see what’s in stock each week when I go grocery shopping. Sort of like an adult scavenger hunt ????
I’ve been stockpiling my items and at this point, I think I’m officially able to call this my “Trader Joe’s Fall Haul.” I’m still waiting on a few items to be stocked at my local TJ’s but let’s get this show on the road!
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread: It might seem a little weird to kick off this haul with cream cheese but let me tell you, this is one of my top items I look forward to every year. It adds the perfect touch of pumpkin, I love spreading this on a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel.
Trader Joe’s Greek Whole Milk Apple Caramel: Most of my weekday breakfasts are ones where I can grab them and go in the morning. I go through phases between protein bars, smoothies, and yogurt. When I’m in a yogurt mood and it’s fall, this is a must for me.
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Overnight Oats: Okay these were a new item for this year + I wanted to try it. They were really good and tasted like a pumpkin pie. I expected to like this item since I like Trader Joe’s other overnight oats options. But like it’s other overnight oats cousins, I just feel like I could make a bigger batch of these oats myself with less money. But if you need breakfast in a pinch, these are a good choice.
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bagels: If you’re going to get pumpkin cream cheese, you gotta get pumpkin bagels, too. TJ’s also makes a gluten-free version!
Trader Joe’s Autumnal Harvest Creamy Past Sauce: This tomato-based pasta sauce packed with butternut squash, pumpkin, carrots, rosemary, and sage to give you that fall flavor profile. Use it with your favorite pasta and top with freshly shaved parm.
Trader Joe’s Harvest Spaghetti Squash Spirals: You can find this in the freezer section next to all the frozen pasta (Do yourself a favor + add the Cacio E Pepe into your cart while you’re at it). Spaghetti squash spirals + chunks of butternut squash in a tomato sauce makes for an easy, no-fuss dinner for 1 + it’s ready to eat after 10 minutes on the stovetop. If you’re on the hungrier side, I’d suggest adding protein to make it a heartier meal.
Trader Joe’s Toscano Cheese with Cinnamon: Wineries in the fall are my absolute favorite. Good wine, good friends, and a cheese board are all I need. I love adding this creamy cheese to all fall cheese boards, the light dusting of cinnamon gives it that perfect fall warmth taste.
Trader Joe’s Cornbread Crisps: I feel a little silly about this since it’s still in the 80s here. But I’m so ready for chili season. There is nothing better than curling up with a bowl of chili and putting on a movie or watching football. I’m a purist when it comes to chili, I’ve never been into toppings. No sour cream, no shredded cheese. I don’t want anything coming between me and my chili. But then I got these cornbread crisps on a whim. They’re salty, crunchy, buttery squares that are a great complement + have made me see the light on chili toppings.
Trader Joe’s Butternut Squash Mac + Cheese: Don’t let this freezer meal’s placement on the list fool you. This is my absolute #1 favorite item in my Trader Joe’s fall haul. This is comfort food at the top of its game. It’s cheesy, peppery, and oh-so-wonderful. I typically will eat about half of the container (it’s larger than your average frozen dinner portion) + pair it with an arugula salad. It feels like a fancy dinner with minimal effort.
Trader Joe’s Organic Minestrone Soup: You can find this staple in the fresh prepared food section. This soup has been a repeat purchase for me for more than a decade. Crazy but accurate (I did the math). When I know it’s going to be a busy week for me, I’ll add a few of these soups to my cart for an easy meal.
Trader Joe’s Puff Pastry: When I say to stock up on this item, I mean it! Trader Joe’s Puff Pastry is a seasonal item and one you’ll want all holiday season long.
Trader Joe’s Spiced Cider: I know it’s sort of sacrilege to say but…I’m more Team Apple than Team Pumpkin. Growing up in Western New York, going to the cider mill was a favorite fall outing of mine. I love apple cider, both iced and warm. Plus, spiced cider goes great with bubbly for a fall mimosa or mix with tequila for an autumnal margarita.
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Ice Cream: TJ’s does it right when it comes to their seasonal ice cream flavors and fall is no exception. I love having a scoop of pumpkin ice cream for a dessert so this must be on hand at all times during fall.
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Flavored Joe-Joe’s: Much like their seasonal ice cream, seasonal Joe-Joe’s aren’t messing around. And the pumpkin flavored Joe-Joe’s are my absolute favorite of all the Joe-Joe’s. One bite and you’ll get it!
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Rolls: In my family, cinnamon rolls were always a treat to warm up a chilly fall weekend morning. Add a seasonal flavor to make this even more of a special treat.
Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Bun Spread: This was a new item last year + I’m happy it’s back. If you love cinnamon rolls, this will be a must-purchase. I used it last year as a topping for my French Toast Bites. It’s also delightful drizzled over apple slices. Or sometimes you just need a spoonful straight up.
Trader Joe’s Non-Dairy Maple Oat Beverage: Another repeat purchase from last fall! And this season, TJ’s has come out with a Non-Dairy Pumpkin Oat Beverage – I can’t wait to try it. I love their non-dairy maple oat beverage for my iced chai lattes. It also froths wonderfully!
Trader Joe’s Fall Candles: I’m a sucker for Trader Joe’s seasonal candles + love both of these!
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Maple Bacon Flavored Stuffies Dog Treats: Whew, that was a mouthful. I’m pretty sure these are new, I never really paid much attention to Trader Joe’s dog treats. But now that James + I have sweet Riley, I just had to get these for her! She’s gone bananas for them, I give her a few after we go on long walks.
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Body Butter: This body butter has a fairly light pumpkin scent so you won’t smell like you just bathed in a PSL. It’s a thick but quick-absorbing body butter that uses coconut oil, shea butter, and pumpkin seed oil to keep your skin moisturized + glowing!
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Overnight Mask: I’m a big fan of their Watermelon Overnight Mask. On one hand, a pumpkin overnight mask seems a bit much. On the other hand, I was intrigued. Curiosity won out + I test drove Trader Joe’s pumpkin overnight mask several times over the last week. Apply a generous layer onto clean skin. It will absorb quickly and you will wake up with a dewy complexion. I also applied this over my lactic acid serum with no problems. If you have sensitive skin, I’d suggest testing this out before using it overnight.
