Sharing my first impressions of Beauty Pie skincare after including them in my routine for almost two months!
I had heard of the Beauty Pie brand a few times over the past few years but never really looked into it. That changed when one of my co-workers started raving about their membership and products.
Founded by Marcia Kilgore, the beauty guru who also created brands like Bliss and Soap & Glory, Beauty Pie is the first ever beauty membership (a yearly membership costs $59). You can buy a variety of beauty and skincare products at lab direct prices – meaning you get to bypass the crazy markup prices! Music to my ears and my wallet.
With the incredibly low prices, I was initially skeptical about the quality of the products. I mean, it just seemed too good to be true! But after hearing my co-worker gush about her Beauty Pie products and seeing her results, I was excited to give a few of their products a whirl. It became very apparent very quickly my skepticism was completely wrong.
After adding these to my skincare routine, Beauty Pie has more than earned its spot in my cabinet. Here are the three products I tried out, how I used them, and what I loved about them. Keep reading for what’s in my next Beauty Pie order!
Super Retinol Anti-Aging Hand Treatment
Funnily enough, we’re starting this with the very last step in my nightly skincare routine. The Super Retinol Anti-Aging Hand Treatment (membership price: $14) made such a big difference in such a short period of time. I typically apply each step of my nightly skincare to the backs of my hands as well as my face, neck, and chest. Toner, serums, moisturizer, you get it. I was blown away by the impact this hand treatment had! Also, I love that it absorbs quickly, is not greasy, and has a very clean scent that quickly dissipates in case you are sensitive to scents.
Japanfusion Genius Lift Elixir
Last year, the Japanfusion Genius Lift Elixir won “The Ultimate Skincare Saviour” by British Vogue Beauty Awards and let tell you, it absolutely lives up to that title. I’ve been using Japanfusion Genius Lift Elixir (membership price: $14.50) every morning and it definitely has made my complexion look more hydrated and dewy. You can use this in your AM and PM routines, it’s just my personal preference to make this a morning ritual. I add a dropper-ful of the elixir to my toner. I used to skip this step but toner does actually help your skin absorb serums more efficiently. Like I said, I love how this elixir makes my skin look dewy without appearing oily or shiny. Because I only use a dropper-ful each day, the elixir is long-lasting. I’ve used it for almost 2 months and am probably only halfway through the bottle.
You can also press a few drops onto your face during the day for a quick pick-me-up. It has a clean scent that smells lightly of roses and, like the hand treatment cream, quickly dissipates.
Superdrops Brightening Niacinamide
Whew, is that a mouthful! Superdrops Brightening Niacinamide (membership price: $16) is another product that I’m not sure how I lived without it. These Superdrops contain Niacinamide to promote elasticity, Oxygeskin to give your skin a healthy glow, and Evermat to help reduce the appearance of pores.
One of my skin complexion issues that I’ve battled for decades are large pores on my cheeks. It’s been a struggle for as long as I can remember. After I apply my toner in the evening, I pat around 5-6 drops onto my face followed by my serums and moisturizer. It’s remarkable how Superdrops have made such a noticeable difference in my stubborn large pores, I’m completely hooked!
What’s In My Next Beauty Pie Order
After reading a post by Grace Atwood about Beauty Pie’s YouthBomb™ 360 Radiance Concentrate Serum, I knew I had to add it to my cart immediately. The membership price is $48, which is significantly higher than the usual membership prices, but for a serum that works to help visibly firm, resurface, brighten, tighten, hydrate and glow… sign me up! After my success with the elixir and drops, I have high expectations for this serum and I’m so excited for it to arrive in the mail.
Another one of my skin issues is chronic dark circles under my eyes. On many days, the only makeup I’ll put on is undereye concealer, which usually mitigates but never truly and completely covers them up. I’ve always been told to use a color corrector first but those are typically an almost clownish shade of orange and then I feel like I use more concealer than looks natural to cover up the orange hue. I’m really intrigued by their Superluminous Under-Eye Genius (membership price: $12) in a light pink shade and see if it helps resolve this issue once and for all!
Lastly, I picked up the Shine Up Lip Color Balm Stick in Coral to see how their makeup section fares.
