Dress: Sail to Sable | Hat: J.Crew Factory (Under $20!!) | Wallet: Kate Spade
A few weekends ago, I found myself searching for a good, reasonably priced pair of blush ballet flats. I had a BIG meeting coming up (More on that next week!!) and unfortunately discovered my ballet flats collection was looking pretty worse for wear. Typically at work I wear heels and keep the ballet flats for casual dress days and if I’m running around my office building. But like I said I had an important meeting and was told to dress casually. And so I kicked off a city-wide hunt for ballet flats. I had already decided to wear my navy + white stripe dress with pearls for the meeting, I just needed to find shoes to complete the look. I scoured DSW’s ballet flats section to no avail. Finding the simplest of ballet flats was turning into a monumental task.
And then I went to T.J. Maxx. I was making a beeline for the shoe department when I saw sight that stopped me in my tracks immediately. I swear, I skidded to a halt just like you see in a cartoon. Sail to Sable was at T.J. Maxx?!?! After I got over my initial shock, I had to get over ANOTHER colossal shock. This Sail to Sable colorblock shift was marked down from $200 to ONLY THIRTY DOLLARS.
I KNOW!
I double triple quadruple checked the price tag because it really just seemed too good to be true. I mean, that’s some seriously substantial savings. But nope, it was very real and you can bet I immediately (for the moment) forgot about my Mission Ballet Flats and grabbed my size off the rack and clung to it for dear life.
I did also end up finding a simple pair of blush ballet flats for my meeting at T.J. Maxx but snagging a $30 Sail to Sable dress 110% blew the successful shoe hunt out of the water. Consider me one happy #Maxxinista!!
I highly suggest you check out the T.J. Maxx in Georgetown this weekend for some seriously stylish deals!
