Happy Friday!! First things first, I wanted to do a friendly reminder about my shopping event at J.Crew Georgetown tomorrow 12-5. There’ll be sips, bites, and – most importantly – cute new arrivals for summer. I’d LOVE to see you there!
I always really enjoy reading other bloggers’ Amazon favorites roundups. I don’t know about you but I’m fairly nosy and I’m always curious what other people are finding on Amazon. It seems like before this year, I really only used Amazon to buy books and larger bulk items that are difficult to get in a city without a car.
But now Amazon has some amazing finds when it comes to fashion and accessories, all my new favorite earrings are from Amazon. It can take a bit of digging and perusing through reviews and some trial and error
Navy Jumpsuit – $21
Last weekend at a friend’s birthday party, I asked a friend where she got her jumpsuit – it looked so incredibly comfy and adorable! She sent me the link and surprise, surprise, it was from an Amazon find. I got the navy jumpsuit in a size medium, which is true to size. I’m going to have to have it hemmed just a little bit but I’m 5’2″ so that’s usually par for the course.
The jumpsuit feels like pajamas, I put them on to make sure they fit – and didn’t take them off until bedtime. I love the tank top jumpsuit and if you’re in a more casual work environment, you can definitely style it for work!
Palm Leaf Earrings – $9 and Rattan Earrings – $13
Earlier this year, I told myself I needed to up my earrings game. I’ll admit, I usually reached for the same pair over and over again. My Arizona vacation was a good excuse to do a little earring shopping and I’m in love with these leopard palm leaf earrings and rattan earrings. They’ll be perfect all summer long!
Rattan Crossbody – $34
The rattan earrings were really just a gateway for a rattan crossbody. It was all for vacation!! I had to. My rattan crossbody is VERY roomy and could hold my wallet, phone, and camera. It’ll be a fun weekend bag and would be very cute for a beach getaway.
Lemon Print Scarf – $10
This lemon print scarf is the perfect feminine detail to add to your outfit, tying it in a bow around your purse’s handle, using it as a headband, or tying it around your ponytail.
Yoga Towel – $22
Recently, I started going to hot yoga. It’s been a really wonderful workout, especially for my neck and shoulders issues. During my first class in downward facing dog, I literally saw my hands move across the mat because I was that sweaty. Gross, I know. I went home and immediately ordered a yoga towel off Prime. This one is inexpensive, easy to wash, and comes in other colors.
Best Sports Bra Ever – $13
Omg. This and the jumpsuit are probably my most favorite Amazon purchases of late. I loved this sports bra so much that I went ahead and got it in 2 more colors. The back detailing is fun to peek out under my tank and comes with removable pads. It’s machine washable and at $13, you just can’t beat that price.
Yoga Mat Strap – $8
When I ordered my yoga towel, I added a yoga mat strap to my cart. I go to hot yoga after work and didn’t want another bulky bag to carry around – this $8 mat strap gets the job done.
Acne Cover Patch – $8
I’m nearly 30 and I still get pimples, especially right before my period. My hairdresser recommended Acne Cover Patch and I ordered them right there from the chair. They look like clear plastic circles and have a sticky side, which you apply to the problematic pimple after washing your face. They stick surprisingly well and will stay on all night, and I’m someone who tosses + turns. Overnight, they suck out all the gunk causing the pimple and you’ll wake up with a significantly reduced pimple. It usually takes 2-3 times to get the pimple to go away completely.
The patches come in a few different sizes in the pack and also have larger squares for more problem areas (aka my chin). You’ll forget these patches are even there! I almost wore one to work, thankfully I spied it when I was putting on my makeup.
Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo – $5
Several years ago, I had a major problem when the water in my old apartment shower just wasn’t rinsing out all the shampoo and conditioner. It led to buildup and left my hair feeling weighed down. I looked up anti-residue shampoo on (you guessed it) Amazon and found Neutrogena’s. Since then, I’ve used this shampoo once a week to get rid of product buildup from the week. You’ll notice a big difference in just one use! My hair always is lighter, shinier, and just feels healthier after I use it.
Wet Brush – $16
My mom discovered the Wet Brush while exploring Amazon and for the last few years, I’ve exclusively used the Wet Brush. I love it so much I even bought a travel size. My hair has always been prone to tangles, especially after I wash it, so I like having the Wet Brush on hand to use after I hop out of the shower to get ahead of those pesky knots and minimize breakage. I even use it on dry hair days.
Inverted Umbrella – $25
This umbrella is a game changer. Whenever it rains in DC, it usually pours. This inverted umbrella is sturdy against winds and its C-shaped handle lets you slip it over your arm, making it easy to walk comfortably carrying groceries or a bag. But the best part is that the inverted shape means you can close your umbrella without dripping water everywhere, including on you! I was skeptical but figured I’d try it out for $25. I’m converted.
