{Monogram Monday: Men’s Edition}

Happy Monday, everyone! I’ve spent the last couple of weeks thinking about my blog and I realized: I have been largely ignoring the male demographic. My apologies to the men! In fact, sometimes I think men’s style is much more intriguing than women’s. The pocket squares, the bow ties…there is lots more room to mix and match. Or maybe this is just a classic case of the grass always being greener.

Regardless, I am enlisting my most stylish guy friends to bring some testosterone to DC Girl in Pearls. I thought the best place to start would be on a Monday. A good start to the week, don’t you think?

For those of the male persuasion, the personalized dress shirt is a quintessential item to have in the wardrobe. It adds a touch of personalization and sophistication to an everyday staple.

Men can monogram their dress shirts over their hearts (as women’s oxfords do) as well as just below the rib cage. While I normally favor the Master Circle Script myself, for men this is not an option. Men should opt for the Roof Pitch Style below:

    Men can also monogram their shirts on the sleeve cuff. Those are always interesting.
