Happy New Year!! I was so ready and rarin’ to go on 2018, I had my goals all set and was excited to spend New Year’s Eve with my friends. And then I caught a horrible cold and spent New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in bed. The only bottles popped were DayQuil and NyQuil. But I’m on the mend and (fingers crossed) hopefully almost out of the woods. Right now I’m wavering between being almost back to normal and feeling like a flu-ridden Leslie Knope. My Tips & Tricks for Shopping the After Party Sale
Have a Game Plan + Know Your Size
Items will be snapped up left and right in front of your very eyes. While we won’t know the exact pieces included in the sale until it goes live at 8AM EST, it’s helpful to know which sizes in which Lilly pieces work for you. When it’s my turn in the queue, I always immediately narrow down to my sizes so I’m not wasting my time looking at clothes that won’t fit me.
Update Your Lilly Account Information Before 8AM
Make sure your payment info and shipping address is up-to-date before the sale starts, one less thing to worry about.
Check Out Often
If you have a big order, check out often. Even if you save something to your shopping bag, until you check out there’s a chance someone else can snatch it up. And when you spy your favorite print in just your size, there’s no way you’re going to let that bad boy go without a fight. It might sound crazy but you could end up with multiple separate orders! Hey, whatever it takes to get those prints safely to your closet. And be patient if your shipment takes awhile to get to you. Last time, my packages didn’t arrive for almost a month! But it’s always worth the wait.
Stick to Your Budget
In the heat of the moment, it’s easy to get carried away. Trust me, I’ve been there, especially with SUCH great deals on such cute clothes! But be realistic about what you can spend: check your finances + determine how much you can spend on clothes for the month. And then stick to it!!! It’s tough but we can get through this together. I promise.
