And this cocktail is 100% guaranteed to get you psyched. I’ve been dying to hit publish on this bad boy since I thought of the idea in December. If only I had such willpower around dessert. I’d be Super Girl.
Anyway.
With Valentine’s Day coming up, I wanted to create two different types of cocktails. Last week, we went with sweet raspberry mint rosé fizz and this week, we’re doing a 180 with fiery. Yup, we’re infusing vodka with – you guessed it – Hot Tamales candy.
Rosé for Galentine’s brunch and a fiery vodka shot to kick girls’ night off. Or maybe you’re in the anti-Valentine’s Day camp and in that case, Hot Tamales infused vodka is your signature drink.
Infusing liquor is a foolproof way to make yourself feel like a fancy and very impressive bartender. When in reality, all you have to do is take about 12-15 Hot Tamales and place them in a sealed jar with 2 cups of vodka. Let the Hot Tamales hang out with the vodka for about 10 hours and BAM! Hot Tamales Infused Vodka.
While you’re waiting in those 10 hours, you can do what I did: Eat Hot Tamales, play around on Adobe Creative, get teary-eyed over a Parks + Rec episode, and not do laundry. You choose to do what makes you happy.
Or to quote Bridget Jones: I choose vodka. And Chaka Khan.

Ingredients
Vodka of choice
1 package of Hot Tamales (plus more for eating/playing with to create fun designs)
Directions
In a sealed jar, line the bottom with about 12-15 Hot Tamales. Add 2 cups of vodka and seal. Let the jar sit at room temperature for 10 hours. Strain to remove the Hot Tamales and serve chilled.
