I have tried to make homemade pizza several times but none of my attempts were all that successful (read: the crust did not bake evenly). However, I was determined to get it right and Sunday was the day to try.
Other than pepperoni, my favorite pizza is veggie pesto. I went to Trader Joe’s and picked up all the necessary items:
Peppers, Pizza Dough, Pesto, Grape Tomatoes, Basil & Red Pepper Flakes
Mozzarella not pictured (I forgot)
Step 1: Chop all the vegetables
Step 2: Flour the dough liberally and roll into a circle (I do not have a roller so I improvised, not the prettiest but oh well!).
Step 3: Load up the toppings!
Step 4: Bake according to directions on the dough (this was 8 minutes at 375).
Finally, I got it right!!! My veggie pesto pizza was delicious and my unlucky pizza streak is over!
