Last week, I planned to write up a post on the DC Taco Truck but then I had an unexpected job interview so I got a little side tracked. However, this week I re-scheduled the post!
I visited the DC Taco Truck mostly because it was the only food truck of the group that I hadn’t visited. Minus the falafel trucks. I know, I’m crazy but I’m just not a falafel gal. Anyway, I ordered the chicken tacos with the spicy chipotle sour cream. Now, they are a very new truck (they started on April 16th) but I wasn’t content with my meal. Their tacos are filled with cabbage, pico de gallo, cheese and in my case, chicken. However, there wasn’t a lot of chicken in my taco so I felt like I was eating more cabbage than anything else. The spicy chipotle sour cream was also not as spicy as I’d hoped it be. Overall, I wasn’t happy with my $9 set of 3 tacos. However, since they are a new truck, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and I might try their fare agin.
In my humble opinion, the best Mexican food truck in D.C. is still Sol Mexican Grill.
Holy mouth watering goodness. & now I’m starving.
