{Food Truck Friday} Best Mexican Burritos and Tortas

Happy Friday, everyone! T.G.I.F., this week was hectic and kept me on my toes. So, I’m looking forward to the weekend to recharge for another busy week!

Last Friday, I decided to try out  Best Mexican Burritos and Tortas truck. Wow, is that ever a mouthful! When it comes to Mexican food, I really just cannot get enough. I could probably live on Mexican food. Okay, that was an exaggeration but you get my point. So I went to Best Mexican Burritos and Tortas truck with quite the appetite. I ordered the Burrito Viajero Beef for $9 with lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, beans, rice with Habanero sauce.

You know the famous tagline, “Where’s the beef?” Well, I’ll tell you the answer: in this burrito.

I gotta be honest, I wasn’t really that impressed with my burrito. I like the sides (pico de gallo, guac, etc.) way more than the beef and there was a LOT more beef than sides. The guacamole was tasty and the habanero sauce was pretty good but it didn’t have as much of a kick as I wanted it to. However, these flavors were drowned out the amount of beef in the burrito. I ended up taking out more than half of the beef to enjoy my burrito. On the whole, the burrito wasn’t the best I’ve ever tasted but it did hit the spot for my lunch. Maybe next time I’ll just ask them to go easy on the beef. While to me, too much beef is a con, some of you carnivores might list that as a pro. If so, more power to you!
