DIY Washi Tape Drink Stirrers

Ever have one of those days where you are just jones-ing for a creative project? But you have to work late, you didn’t pack your lunch for tomorrow, you don’t even want to think about cleaning up the glitter after…

Crafts can be a daunting after-work task. But that’s the beauty of my DIY washi tape craft. The cleanup is minimal and all you need is a roll of washi tape, paper or plastic straws and a pair of scissors. Ready? Let’s go!

Cutt off the desired length of washi tape and lay it flat on your work surface. Place the straw around the middle point of the tape and then firmly press the two pieces together so they snugly wrap around the straw. Here’s where you can get creative and give the drink stirrer your own unique flair. I opted for the short ‘n sweet route by cutting a small design to make the washi tape look like a flag. Here are some other ideas

– Write your friends’ names on the tape with a colorful Sharpie so people don’t mix up their cocktails at your next party

– Apply glue to the washi tape and dip in glitter, let dry for at least 24 hours

– Apply another piece of washi tape in the same shape so your drink stirrer has 2 colors
