If there is a problem area for organization in my studio, it’s my closet. I feared opening the door sometimes because I know I will be faced with a pile of laundry. Last week, I declared enough is enough and visited the Container Store.
I made a beeline for the hangers section and loaded up on Huggable Hangers. If you are on a budget but looking to jazz up your closet, make Huggable Hangers your top priority. They’re currently on sale at the Container Store for $6.99/10 pack. It’s incredible how much space they create. After I switched, I gained 25% additional space!
Because I don’t have a dresser, I store my (ahem) delicates in these woven milk crates from Target. I have four, which I stack on the floor, containing unmentionables, socks, gym wear & scarves. I love the rustic look of the milk crates, proving storage can look beautiful.
One wall in my walk-in is entirely shelves, which I’ve been using to store folded jeans and pants. Stacking these linen sweater boxes would give my shelves a sense of order and create clean, structured lines instead of my neat but admittedly crooked stacks.
Top off all your hard organization work with several fresh sachets to keep your wardrobe smelling like a rose.
When I get back to DC, I’ll share pictures of my closet on my Instagram!
