books on my radar

Ever since I could read, I’ve been a book worm. Remember those Book-It contests sponsored by Pizza Hut? I’m pretty certain I lived on personal pan pizzas from 1997-1999. In middle school, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the summer reading list…and I’d be finished with the list just after the Fourth of July. When high school rolled around, I re-wrote my response paper to Alias Grace at least 5 times and have never been more proud of an A.

My book worm tendencies sadly have taken a bit of a back seat lately. I’m no longer Metro-ing to work so my morning/evening reading sessions are gone. I’m trying to get better about making reading a habit again, instead of just a “sometimes” thing.

I have the same problem, at home I get talked to while reading which annoys me to no end! I sometimes take the bus when I could walk to work just to have 10 minutes of reading but recently I have started using my kindle app to read under the covers, not great for my sleep pattern but it’s so nice to have that time to lose myself in a story.

Great suggestions, thank you! I also recommend Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.
