Last Tuesday, my aunt from Florida came over and she, my mother & I baked up a storm for my cousins (who are all grown up with families of their own) as well as my father & brother. We decided to start with the tried & true favorite peanut butter blossom. We quite possibly made 300 of these cookies and they came out picture perfect!
My mother saw me taking pictures & being a Food Network & HGTV enthusiast, she insisted on arranging them on one of her favorite serving dishes. Even peanut butter blossom photo opps should be taken seriously!
When we were at the grocery store buying the ingredients, my aunt & I spied the cherry cordial Hershey kisses. If you haven’t tried them, I’d highly suggest them, they’re delicious. Anyway, I got the idea that we should try to make a version of the peanut butter blossom with the cherry cordial kisses. Instead of a peanut butter cookie bottom, we made sugar cookies and stuck the cherry cordial kisses into the center, just like the peanut butter blossom recipe. They turned out great & tasted yummy! I’d definitely recommend trying it out:
Our next baking date: Mexican wedding cakes & Christmas cut outs!
