A couple of weeks ago, I developed a serious craving for a favorite childhood meal: Tuna Noodle Casserole. I normally don’t get cravings like this so I decided to head to Trader Joe’s and remedy the situation.
Armed with these supplies, I went home and got cookin’.
Tuna Noodle Casserole is a very simple dish to prepare and was a family favorite growing up, I think we ate it about every 2 weeks. I’ve seen versions with crumbled bread crumbs on the top but this is how I grew up making Tuna Noodle Casserole. Or as my brother used to call it, “Tuna Noona.”
Ingredients*
2 cans of tuna
1 package, Cream of Mushroom soup (or 2 cans of Campbell’s)
Fusili pasta
* There aren’t really specified measures in this recipe but I prepared as a single serving.
Preparation
Boil desired amount of pasta
Once ready, place the pasta in a glass dish with tuna and mushroom soup
Stir to evenly coat
Place in the oven on 350 for 10-12 minutes
Tuna Noodle Casserole takes less than 20 minutes from start to finish and, in my opinion, tastes delicious. Do you have a favorite childhood meal?
