Easy Fall Cocktails: Perfect for Thanksgiving + Friendsgiving

How to make easy fall cocktails for Thanksgiving - DC Girl in Pearls

The season of Thanksgiving is here! And you know what that means, Friendsgiving time has arrived with it. I’m really bummed that I’ll be out of town when my friends host Friendsgiving, I thought I was going to be out of town the weekend before instead of that weekend 😣

But anyway, that’s not going to stop me from sharing a few of my favorite easy fall cocktails to whip up for Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving or even just on a lazy Sunday. These easy fall cocktails involve just a little bit of prep work, mostly for garnishes because c’mon, who doesn’t love a pretty cocktail garnish? Let’s be real. You can make just one of these cocktails or make all four to give your guests some variety! They’re that simple to whip up.

Pear Aperol Spritz

I posted about this cocktail the other week because I think Aperol Spritzes are too much fun and too delicious to just be a summer drink. Right? With muddled pear, simple syrup, a splash of vanilla extract, everyone’s favorite drink to post on Instagram gets a new take to make it a fun drink for fall. Recipe here.

Sparkling Cranberry Rosé Sangria

Not to play favorites but this cocktail is one of my all-time favorites I’ve posted about here. Mainly because it involves my very favorite seasonal wine from Trader Joe’s. Cranberry prosecco usually hits Trader Joe’s shelves about mid-November for the holidays and I always purchase a few bottles to keep on hand to bring to holiday parties. Dry prosecco with a tart cranberry flavor for five dollars?! YES!! Now imagine using that prosecco to give sangria a little fizz…are you on board? Recipe here.

Apple Cider Mimosa

Okay I know the title of this post is “Easy Fall Cocktails” but this is the easiest fall cocktail of all. No need to reinvent the wheel on this cocktail for your next brunch with friends. Simply substituted apple cider for orange juice in your next mimosa and you’re in business! If you want to up-level, add a splash of bourbon and garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick. Cheers! Recipe here.

Apple Pomegranate Sangria

I’m not much of a red wine drinker, that’s one adulthood box I’ve yet to check. But I do really enjoy this red wine sangria with tempranillo wine. You can find La Granja wine at Trader Joe’s, just look for the colorful giraffe on their label! Side note: Their rosé is also quite good. The apple pomegranate sangria is super easy to make in big batches if you’re hosting a large group for Thanksgiving! Recipe here.

Do you have a favorite fall cocktail? Or a favorite red wine? I’m trying to learn to like them!
