Last summer, my parents came down to DC to help move me into my studio. It was a great weekend and as we said goodbye, my mother told me my dad and her hid a surprise for me in my hall closet. The caveat? I could only open it when I became gainfully employed.
I am not the best at surprises because I want to know immediately what it is. Luckily, the “out of sight, out of mind” mentality held true and I forgot about the surprise in my closet until almost two weeks ago.
As soon as an email popped into my inbox formally offering me a position, my knees practically gave out and I floated to my hall closet. My hands were shaking, I was so excited! Fittingly, this coincided with my {5ooth} post on DC Girl in Pearls.
Inside the package were two beautiful, exquisite candle holders.
How beautiful do they look next to the blue hydrangeas?
